The easy squared pro model can
quickly lay out templates for the main
roof , the secondary roof and the
irregular hip or valley rafter pictured .
Set the indicator guide to the line
adjacent to the hip/valley for a
conventional hip/valley.
For an irregular hip or valley use
similar to a multiplication chart.
Follow the lower pitch downward
until it intersects with the greater
pitch.As in the example the 8 pitch
downward until it intersects with
the 10 pitch horizontal.
Conventional hips and valleys are
on the left. The irregular hips and
valleys make up the remainder of
the chart. Octagonal hip rafters
are below the irregular hips and
valleys.
